Yes. Shell access is available upon request. Send us a note about why you need shell access and we'll set you up. If you need some sort of special module or software installed on the server please let us know and we'll evaluate its compatibility/security and let you know what we can do. We've installed Ruby on Rails, Git support, ImageMagick, and other software because of user requests so feel free to ask. We can't think of any other hosts out there that will do this for you.
